VALLEY GIVES: ON THE ROAD TO $2 MILLION

After months of preparation it’s up to the residents of western Massachusetts to show more than 350 participating nonprofits their generosity
 
Springfield, MA – There are just under 24 hours to go until over 350 local nonprofits and programs will participate in Valley Gives, the 24-hour e-philanthropy event in western Massachusetts. To help promote participation Valley Gives organizers will have three teams roaming around western Massachusetts.  These mobile giving teams will be spreading information about Valley Gives as well as traveling with iPads to help passersby make gifts to their favorite nonprofits!
The Valley Gives Generosity Teams will be found at:

TEAM A


  • MONARCH PLACE, DOWNTOWN SPRINGFIELD: 7:30 am –10:30 am
  • 
TOWER SQUARE, DOWNTOWN SPRINGFIELD: 11:30 am – 2:00 pm

  • NORTHAMPTON AREA YOUNG PROFESSIONALS EVENT/POPCORN NOIR, EASTHAMPTON: 4:45 pm – 7:00 pm

TEAM B

  • 
WHOLE FOODS, HADLEY: 8:00 am — 11:00 am

  • THORNES MARKETPLACE 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm

TEAM C – Riding the Peter Pan FUTURELINER Bus

At the end of the long day a celebration is being hosted by the organizers at Easthampton’s newest restaurant/lounge, Galaxy (60 Main Street, Easthampton). Invited guests and sponsors will gather to watch the final totals for the day roll in.

Valley Gives is a new initiative spearheaded and hosted by the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts.  Joining this effort as partners are eight of the leading funding organizations serving western Massachusetts, including: Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts, Jewish Endowment Foundation, Women’s Fund of Western Massachusetts, United Way of Hampshire County, United Way of Franklin County, United Way of Pioneer Valley, Irene E. & George A. Davis Foundation, and The Beveridge Family Foundation.
