Since this is our first time out doing a giving day we really wanted to be able to measure the impact of Valley Gives on the participating NPOs. We have buckets of anecdotal information on what particular organizations are doing in western Massachusetts, but we really didn’t have a study with actual numbers.
We found a great study, the 4th Annual Nonprofit Social Network Benchmark Report for 2012, that looked at the social media landscape across the United States. We took some of their questions and adapted them for our survey so that we can see how the Valley measures up against the rest of the country.
We fully expect that after we get all of our participating organizations trained this year, they are going to blow away the rest of the country!
