There have been a lot of questions about the the $1,200 Golden Tickets on 12.12.13 so here is a helpful guide:
Hourly Golden Tickets:
These are $1,200 tickets. One is drawn each hour from 9 AM to 11 PM. (14 in all) and posted about fifteen minutes after the end of the hour. For example: 9 AM to 10 AM one ticket will be drawn with the winning organization posted at www.valleygivesday.org around 10:15. The pool of donors for these drawings will be any donor who has given during the day up to that point. So if a donor gives at 10 AM they could win a Golden Ticket at 6 PM.
The Power Hour Tickets: (4 hours throughout the day)
|Time||# of tickets||Amount/ Ticket||Total $ for hour|
|10:00 – 11:00 AM||20||$1,200||$24,000|
|12 noon – 1:00 PM||20||$1,200||$24,000|
|4:00 – 5:00 PM||20||$1,200||$24,000|
|6:00 – 7:00 PM||20||$1,200||$24,000|
The 20 Power Hour Golden Tickets can be won ONLY by people who donate within that Power Hour. The reasoning for this is to generate activity during that hour. These hours were chosen becuase they tend to be slower giving times. These Power Hours help insure that the donations keep rolling in without hesitation.
Just like the hourly tickets, Power Hour winners are chosen after the close of the hour and will be posted shortly thereafter on the Valley Gives Blog at www.valleygives.wordpress.com .
There will also be 12 Golden Tickets drawn at 7 AM for those committed donors who either scheduled a gift before the giving day or gave from 12:01 AM to 7 AM.
There will be NO DUPLICATE Golden Ticket winners–each participating nonprofit can only win one Golden Ticket (from an hourly drawing or power hour drawing, these are all Golden Tickets).
Please be advised that Golden Tickets and matching gifts do not count toward your leader board total. Only prizes processed through Razoo on 12/12/13 count toward those prizes.
